The Gippsland 4WD Club recently presented a cheque for $15,000 to the West Gippsland Hospitals’ Operating Theatre.

The monies donated will be used to purchase new telescopic equipment used during laparoscopic operating procedures. The new equipment will assist with a range of gynaecological surgery and increase the scope of procedures able to be performed at West Gippsland Hospital. The new ‘high definition’ telescopes will improve the quality and clarity of the laparoscopic picture which will support the surgeons in performing the procedures.

The Gippsland 4WD Club based in the Warragul/Drouin region was formed over 40 years ago by a group of local community members. The Club conducts numerous fundraising activities including motorcar events and social functions. They are a family focused group, catering for all types of four wheel drivers. Regular trips cater for beginners to advanced drivers and include day trips, weekend adventures and longer touring style.
