The recent Frock Up Death & Dying Event held to raise money for the WGH Oncology Unit drew a large crowd of over 250 people.

The night was a success with $4,600 raised which will go towards the purchase of new chairs for patients receiving oncology treatment.

Hosts and event organisers Anny Bryne and Shelly O’Dwyer acknowledged the support of the community and volunteers on the night “Without the support of our major sponsors Nielsen Funerals and Priceline, along with over 10 other local businesses and volunteers who assisted on the night, we wouldn’t have been able to pull off such an event of this kind”.

Comedian Denise Scott and local health professionals were among the guest speakers who spoke about the importance of having a medical enduring power of attorney.
