Bowlers raise funds for Oncology

The Warragul Bowling and the Warragul RSL Bowls Club recently hosted fundraising events to raise funds for the Oncology Unit at West Gippsland Hospital.


The Warragul Bowls Club donated $845 which was made up of $563 from a twilight fundraiser held earlier in the year and the balance of $282 from the ‘Wrong Bias’ collection which is ongoing throughout the bowling season.

The Warragul RSL Bowls Club donated $600 which was raised from their annual ‘Diggers Day’ held in March at Drouin.

WGHG Public Relations Manager Kel Dodge attended the Warragul Bowls Club to receive the donations.

"We are extremely grateful to both bowling clubs for the support they provide. This assists us to improve the comfort of patients undergoing cancer treatment at our Oncology Unit" said Mrs Dodge.

The bowling club hosts events each year to support cancer charities throughout Victoria.
